POLAND VS YOUR COUNTRY

Compare the life. Compare the money.

Start with country-specific household cost scenarios, then replace them with your quotes. Compare take-home income and estimated savings in one currency. Calculations are instant; market benchmarks are dated, not live.

1. Make it the same household

Changing household controls then generating estimates replaces expense entries on both sides, but keeps your income. Same typical age is used for all children; mixed ages need fee overrides. For public school or nursery outside sourced coverage, enter your quote. Healthcare and other personal costs always need your input. Enter costs for the same household and housing/education standard on both sides. Use the Poland household planner to estimate Poland figures, then copy the line items here.

2. Your current country

3. Your Poland scenario

All Poland figures in PLN. Generated estimates reuse the Poland household model; override any line. Use actual net pay or the Poland employment-pay estimator where its assumptions apply. Do not enter gross salary.

4. Exchange rate

Checking NBP reference rates…

NBP is an official mid-market reference, not your bank's executable rate. Weekends/holidays may use the latest published working-day table. Stale or unavailable data is identified; no silently substituted rate. Manual rates are your assumption.

Where the estimates come from

Cost benchmarks checked 26 October 2026: Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Germany. These are national contributor surveys, NOT quotes for your typed city. Canada does not mean Vancouver, US does not mean New York. Replace defaults with local quotes.

Rent: national centre/outer 1-bedroom or 3-bedroom benchmark; 2 bedrooms is their midpoint, an assumption. Utilities: 85 m² benchmark × your area / 85. Groceries: Poland 900 zł per adult-equivalent × an identical sample-price index in home currency; not a nutritional basket. Index quantities: 8 L milk, 8 lb bread,4 lb rice,2 dozen eggs,2 lb cheese,8 lb chicken,6 lb apples,6 lb tomatoes,10 lb potatoes,4 lb onions. These weights are editorial, not measured household consumption. Child equivalents .35 under4, .6 under12, .85 older; lifestyle .85/1/1.25. Home leisure:4 inexpensive meals/person/month × lifestyle, not a full leisure budget. Transport: adult public passes only. Add cars, child fares, insurance, council/property tax and other missing costs explicitly. Preschool uses national private full-day fees; international uses annual primary tuition ÷12, not other school stages. Poland sources/formulas are in the linked household planner.

No subsidies, benefits or tax entitlements assumed. Mortgage/owned/shared housing needs your actual cost. Another country requires manual entries; no invented coverage.

Money is only part of the move

Compare commute, school language and places, healthcare eligibility, access to work, family support and lifestyle separately. This tool does not determine visa rights, NFZ eligibility, benefits or your foreign tax liability.

Monthly amounts only. Convert annual insurance/tuition to annual ÷ 12. Enter after-tax household income from all relevant earners; use the same definition of costs on both sides. Savings means income minus entered outgoings, not guaranteed disposable income. Missing amounts are unknown, never automatically free. Blank fields keep the result partial.

No account or local saving. Household numbers stay in this page. Only the public currency table is fetched from NBP; your inputs are not sent with it.
