Five international apps compete for food orders in Poland: Pyszne.pl, Uber Eats, Wolt, Glovo and Bolt Food. Business daily Puls Biznesu said in May 2026 that few European markets have competition this sharp. For you as a customer that means plenty of choice, and also that the best app depends on your street. Here is what each company says about itself, plus what to know before you order.

The five apps in short

* Pyszne.pl. The Polish brand of a takeaway platform. Its own page describes three steps: tell it where you are, search for dishes, businesses or cuisines, then order for delivery or collection. Statista dates its launch to February 2010, which makes it the oldest of the five. * Wolt. Puls Biznesu reported in May 2026 that Wolt works in 25 locations in Poland, including Gorzow Wielkopolski and Opole, which it entered in 2026. It has about 11,000 partners across restaurants and shops. Its Warsaw page lists categories such as restaurants, groceries, pet supplies, electronics and flowers, so it is not only for meals. Its subscription, Wolt+, removes the delivery fee, according to the same report. * Glovo. Its Polish page promotes food delivery plus groceries, shops and pharmacies, and top chains such as McDonald's and Biedronka's online shop appear on the front page. * Uber Eats. The Uber Eats city list for Poland includes large cities and many small towns, for example Gdansk, Krakow, Zamosc, Przemysl, Zakopane and Lublin. Its coverage can differ even inside one city, so enter your address to see what is available. * Bolt Food. Bolt's Polish page says you can order from the app or from a browser, and pay by cash, card or Bolt balance. It also delivers groceries from local shops. Bolt Food opened in Lublin on 1 October 2025, according to a trade-press report.

How to order, step by step

1. Install one or two of the apps, or use the website. Pyszne.pl, Wolt, Glovo and Bolt Food all show restaurants by address. 2. Enter the exact delivery address, including the entry code and floor if your building has a gate. The apps show you only what delivers to that address. 3. Search by dish or cuisine, then compare the same restaurant on a second app. The menu prices and fees can differ between platforms, and no official source gives a fixed rule for which is cheaper. 4. Choose delivery or collection where offered. Pyszne.pl explicitly offers both. 5. Pay inside the app. Bolt Food lists cash as an option, so check the payment choices in the cart before you confirm. 6. Track the order in the app. Bolt Food says you get an update at each stage.

Groceries, pharmacies and "quick commerce"

All five apps now push shops as well as restaurants. Wolt told Puls Biznesu that deliveries from shops are one of the main drivers of its revenue growth in Poland. Biedronka and Uber Eats announced wider cooperation in February 2026. If you do not speak Polish yet, grocery orders in an app are an easy way to avoid a first trip to a crowded shop, since product names and photos are shown.

Night rules: alcohol in Warsaw

Warsaw has a city-wide ban on retail alcohol sales between 22:00 and 06:00 since 1 June 2026, according to the city's own page. It covers shops, kiosks, petrol stations, 24-hour shops and takeaway sales from restaurants and bars. Restaurants, bars and clubs can still serve alcohol on site during opening hours. The city page does not mention delivery apps, so if you want a late-night drink delivered, expect the app to hide those items. In November 2025, during the pilot, trade press reported that Bolt switched off night deliveries across the whole city. Check the current app behaviour yourself.
