Gdańsk airport to the city: train, bus 110/210/N3, fares 2026
Short answer: The airport train station needs a change at Wrzeszcz for Gdańsk Główny. Bus 210 runs to Dworzec Główny in about 40 minutes. A single bus ticket costs 4.80 zł.

Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport sits in the Matarnia district, west of the centre, and has both a railway station and a city bus stop right at the terminal. The airport's own website lists the options and the ticket prices for the buses. This guide uses those pages, checked in October 2026, and the city's fare ordinance. Timetables change, so treat the travel times as the airport's rough estimates and check the live timetable before a tight connection.
The short version
The railway station is directly in front of the passenger terminal, and you can reach it by a covered footbridge from inside the terminal. There is no direct train from the airport to Gdańsk Główny. According to the airport, going to Gdańsk Główny or Gdańsk Śródmieście means changing at Gdańsk Wrzeszcz, where the city trains (SKM) to the centre leave from platform 3. Buses stop opposite the terminal, next to car park P1.
By train
The airport says four train routes serve the airport station, run by the regional operator Polregio (the operator since 11 December 2022). From the airport you can reach Gdańsk Wrzeszcz, then change for the city line to the centre. Sopot and Gdynia can be reached by direct trains through Wrzeszcz, or with a change at Wrzeszcz platform 3. Another route runs to Gdynia via Osowa. Trains also go toward the Kashubia region, to Kartuzy and Kościerzyna.
Where to buy train tickets, according to the airport:
- Ticket machines on the platforms, which take cash and cards
- Mobile apps such as Polregio, Portal Pasażera, GoPay, jakdojade.pl, moBiLET, mPay, SkyCash and zbiletem.pl
- The Fala system, through its app, the systemfala.pl portal, or the machines and readers at stations and on platforms
The airport pages do not list a train price, so check the price in the machine or an app. Do not rely on a number from a third-party blog.
By bus
City buses are the simplest way to cross town without changing. The airport lists these lines:
- Line 110: runs to and from the Gdańsk Wrzeszcz PKP railway station, daily. About 25 to 35 minutes from the first stop.
- Line 120: runs between the Łostowice Świętokrzyska loop and the airport, serving Ujeścisko, Szadółki, Kiełpino, Jasień, Karczemki, Matarnia and Kokoszki. About 50 to 60 minutes from the first stop.
- Line 210: runs between Dworzec Główny and Osowa PKP, serving the centre, Suchanino, Piecki-Migowo and Osowa. About 40 minutes from the centre to the airport, and about 25 minutes from Osowa.
- Night line N3: runs from Dworzec Główny through the centre, Siedlce, Zaborna, Jasień, Karczemki, Kiełpino and Kokoszki to the airport, then from the airport to Wrzeszcz PKP.
The airport describes the bus data as indicative. The current timetables are published by the city transport authority at ztm.gda.pl, and the live map of vehicles at mapa.ztm.gda.pl.
Bus fares and ticket types
The airport states that a single-ride ticket costs 4.80 zł full fare and 2.40 zł reduced. Our Gdańsk fares guide, based on the city's fare ordinance of 16 July 2026, lists a 75-minute ticket at 6 zł, which allows transfers. If your trip includes a change, for example from line 110 to a SKM train, ask yourself whether the 75-minute ticket covers it better than a single ride.
You can buy bus tickets at the machines at the stops, which accept cash and cards, in apps (GoPay, jakdojade.pl, moBiLET, mPay, SkyCash, zbiletem.pl), or through the Fala system on board. Validate the ticket if it needs validation, because riding without a valid ticket carries a fine.
By taxi
The airport lists partner taxi companies. One of them, Neptun Taxi, says passengers can pay by card. The airport pages do not publish fixed prices, so ask for the price or the meter rate before you set off, or book through an app that shows the price in advance.
Which option for whom
- Staying in Wrzeszcz or Przymorze: bus 110 to Wrzeszcz, or train and a short change.
- Staying in the old town: bus 210 is the one that serves Dworzec Główny without changing, but allow about 40 minutes. The train needs a change at Wrzeszcz.
- Arriving late at night: check the N3 timetable, because night service is limited.
- Heavy luggage or small children: a taxi avoids the change at Wrzeszcz.
