Piotrków Trybunalski Transport 2026: Tickets PLN 3.80, QR Rules
What to know: In Piotrków Trybunalski a 60-minute bus ticket costs PLN 3.80 and a 30-day network ticket PLN 90. App tickets must be activated by scanning a QR code in the bus, and e-scooters are banned from 22 October 2026.

Piotrków Trybunalski runs a compact city bus network operated by Miejski Zakład Komunikacji (MZK). Autumn 2026 brings two changes that matter if you ride: tickets bought in an app must now be activated inside the bus, and e-bikes and e-scooters are banned on board from 22 October. The prices below come from the ticket page on mzk.piotrkow.pl, checked on 20 October 2026.
Ticket prices
There are four ticket types, and each has a normal and a reduced price:
- 60-minute ticket: PLN 3.80 normal, PLN 1.90 reduced
- 24-hour ticket: PLN 11.00 normal, PLN 5.50 reduced
- Carnet of four 60-minute tickets: PLN 14.00 normal, PLN 7.00 reduced
- Network 30-day bearer ticket: PLN 90.00 normal, PLN 45.00 reduced
The 60-minute and 24-hour tickets allow an unlimited number of rides during the time printed on the ticket, counted from the moment it becomes valid. You cannot combine 60-minute tickets to make a 24-hour one. A 30-day ticket is valid for 30 consecutive calendar days from the day the buyer chooses, and it works for anyone because it is issued to the bearer.

Cheaper with the residents' card
Holders of the Piotrków Resident Card (Piotrkowska Karta Mieszkańca) pay less: PLN 3.00 for a 60-minute ticket, PLN 9.00 for 24 hours, PLN 11.00 for the four-ride carnet and PLN 80.00 for the 30-day ticket. Reduced prices for card holders are half of those, for example PLN 1.50 for a single ride. If you live in the city and ride often, the card pays back quickly.
New: activate app tickets with a QR code
On 8 October 2026 the city and MZK presented new rules, reported by the PAP local government service. Buying a ticket in an app no longer starts it. You buy it in advance, at home or at the stop, and after boarding you scan the QR code displayed in the bus to activate it. The aim is to stop people from activating a ticket only when inspectors board. Inspectors can block activation once a check has started, in every ticket app.
Since 1 October 2026 MZK has worked with a third app, zBiletem, next to the two it already used. You sign in with a phone number and can buy tickets straight away.
New: no e-bikes or e-scooters on buses
From 22 October 2026 electric bicycles and electric scooters may not be carried in MZK vehicles. The city council adopted the change after MZK analysed the safety risks. Luggage, prams and pets still travel free, according to the price page.
Practical tips
- Pay by card or phone: the price page says fare collection can use cashless payment systems.
- Use only tickets issued for city transport, with the Piotrków logo or the text "Komunikacja Miejska Piotrków Trybunalski".
- If you have no right to a reduced fare, carry a full-price ticket.
- Timetable corrections on lines 2, 5 and 6 applied from 10 October 2026, so check the current timetable on the MZK site.
