Poznań public transport: ZTM ticket prices, PEKA card and passes
Short answer: In Poznań a time ticket costs 5 zł for 15 minutes, 7 zł for 45 minutes and 9 zł for 90 minutes, and a 30-day pass for zone A is 119 zł.

Poznań runs its trams and buses through ZTM Poznań, the city transport authority, and the tickets work a little differently from Warsaw or Kraków. You can pay for the time you ride, the number of stops you ride, or a whole network pass. All the prices below were read on the ZTM Poznań price list on 13 October 2026. Prices change, so check the ZTM page before you buy a long-term ticket.
Time-based single tickets
These tickets are for occasional riders and visitors. They are valid on the whole network, with no tariff zones, and you can change vehicles. What matters is the real time of your journey, counted from the moment you validate the ticket.
- Up to 15 minutes: 5 zł normal, 2.50 zł reduced
- Up to 45 minutes: 7 zł normal, 3.50 zł reduced
- Up to 90 minutes: 9 zł normal, 4.50 zł reduced
The reduced fare is 50 percent. If your journey runs past the time on the ticket, you must validate another ticket to continue. ZTM also says you cannot combine reduced tickets to make a full-price one.
Short-term tickets: 24 hours and 7 days
For several days of visiting or a short stay, ZTM sells 24-hour and 7-day tickets, which allow changes between vehicles:
- 24-hour, zone A (Poznań): 18 zł normal, 9 zł reduced
- 24-hour, zones A+B+C+D: 24 zł normal, 12 zł reduced
- 7-day, zone A: 59 zł normal, 29.50 zł reduced
- 7-day, zones A+B+C+D: 94 zł normal, 47 zł reduced
Zone A covers the administrative area of Poznań. The other zones cover the area around the city.
There are also promotions. "Weekend 24 h" lets you validate a 24-hour ticket once from 20:00 on Friday to 24:00 on Saturday and use it until 24:00 on Sunday. "Family 24 h" lets two simultaneously validated normal 24-hour tickets cover two adults and up to three children under 18.

Pay per stop with the PEKA card
The PEKA card is Poznań's transport card. With money on its e-wallet (tPortmonetka), you pay per stop rather than per time, and the price per stop falls the further you go. You tap the card on the reader when you board and when you get off. Zones do not apply.
Normal fares for a trip in one vehicle, or with up to 3 changes if you tap within 20 minutes at each change:
- 1 stop: 0.86 zł
- 3 stops: 2.30 zł
- 5 stops: 3.26 zł
- 10 stops: 4.00 zł
- 20 stops: 5.00 zł
- 21 stops or more: 5.06 zł, plus 0.06 zł for each further stop
Reduced fares are half those amounts, but you must have your entitlement saved on the card at a ZTM customer service point. ZTM says any trip up to 18 stops is cheaper this way than the cheapest time ticket. A daily cap also applies: once you spend 18 zł in a day on the e-wallet, the further fees for that day are not charged.
Long-term tickets
Passes are tied to a named PEKA card and are valid in a zone or a combination of zones, with ten options from a single zone to A+B+C+D. ZTM sells passes valid from 15 to 45 days, or for 90, 180, 270 and 365 days. The longer the pass, the lower the daily price.
The Metropolitan Ticket (Bilet Metropolitalny) is meant for people who pay their income tax (PIT) to Poznań or to one of 19 partner municipalities, and it is the standard resident pass. For zone A:
- 15 days: 59.90 zł
- 30 days: 119 zł (ZTM's own example: 59.90 zł plus 15 days at 3.94 zł)
- 90 days: 319 zł
- 180 days: 569 zł
- 270 days: 779 zł
- 365 days: 949 zł
A valid ZTM pass for a network with zone A also lets you ride Koleje Wielkopolskie and POLREGIO trains within Poznań. At weekends, from 20:00 on Friday to 24:00 on Sunday and on public holidays, one companion can travel free with a Metropolitan Ticket holder inside the zone.
Which ticket suits you
- A short visit: a 24-hour ticket for zone A at 18 zł costs the same as two 90-minute single tickets.
- Occasional riding: the PEKA e-wallet, if most of your trips are short.
- Daily commuting: the 30-day or longer pass. A pass registered on the PEKA card is personal.
- If you pay PIT in Poznań: ask ZTM about the Metropolitan Ticket, since it is built for local taxpayers.
