Piła Buses: MZK Tickets, Day Pass and Network Fares in 2026
Short answer: In Piła an electronic single MZK ticket costs 4.00 zł (paper 4.40 zł), a day ticket 14.00 zł, and a student year ticket 450 zł, per the tariff effective 10 January 2026.

Piła's city buses are run by MZK Piła, the municipal transport company. This guide uses the tariff page on mzk.pila.pl and the operator's announcement of 7 January 2026 about the new tariff effective 10 January 2026, both read on 19 October 2026. The announcement names the legal basis as order no. 674(387)25 of the Mayor of Piła of 15 December 2025.
Single and day tickets
The tariff page lists two prices for a single ticket. An electronic single ticket costs 4.00 zł (reduced 2.00 zł), and a paper single ticket costs 4.40 zł (reduced 2.20 zł). The announcement explains the difference: a ticket bought in the validator on the bus is 40 groszy cheaper than a paper ticket, as a way to promote digital payment.
A day ticket costs 14.00 zł (reduced 7.00 zł). According to the announcement, it was previously called a "dobowy" ticket and its price was kept. A ticket for a dog or luggage costs 4.00 zł or 4.40 zł, depending on the form.
Period network tickets
Network tickets are valid on all bus lines, including suburban ones. The tariff page lists these prices at full fare and reduced fare:
A 15-day ticket costs 90.00 zł (reduced 45.00 zł). A 90-day ticket costs 300.00 zł (reduced 150.00 zł). A 180-day ticket costs 500.00 zł (reduced 250.00 zł). The 15, 90 and 180-day tickets are valid for that number of days from a start date of your choice.
The page shows two monthly network ticket entries without labels in the text we could read: one at 110.00 zł (reduced 55.00 zł), and one at 120.00 zł (reduced 60.00 zł) that is also listed with a bearer version at 200.00 zł. Check on the operator's page or at the ticket office which version applies to you before you buy.

Students and large families
A yearly ticket for pupils and students is new from 10 January 2026. It is valid for 365 days from a chosen date and costs 450.00 zł at the reduced rate. The announcement says its price equals 7.5 monthly tickets, which gives 4.5 months of travel free.
For families with three or more children the tariff page lists 90.00 zł for parents and 30.00 zł for children. The announcement says the discounts for holders of the Large Family Card were unified at 25% for parents and 75% for children.
What changed in 2026
According to the operator, single-ticket and short-period prices were slightly raised, and the long-period 90-day and 180-day prices were left unchanged. The recreational ticket was abolished, and holders of period tickets can ride the summer recreational line P to the Płotki lake at no extra charge. The operator says its existing concessions and exemptions, both municipal and statutory, are still honoured.
What it means for expats
If you ride daily, the monthly network ticket is the main option, with the caveat above about the two listed versions. If you ride a few times a week, the electronic single ticket at 4.00 zł is the cheapest per ride. The day ticket at 14.00 zł pays off from the fourth ride of the day at the electronic rate. Bring the document that proves your right to a reduced fare.
The tariff page does not list fines for travelling without a ticket or the exact reduced-fare rules, so check the operator's carriage regulations. The company's address is ul. Łączna 4, 64-920 Piła, and the phone number on its site is +48 67 213 97 01.
