Rzeszów runs its city buses through Rzeszowski Transport Miejski (RTM), and the city's transport portal "Rzeszów Komunikacyjny" publishes the ticket guide. This article summarises that guide as it stood on 18 October 2026. The page carries no date, so the figures are the ones shown on the day it was checked. Before you buy a long-term ticket, confirm the price at a Traveller Service Point (POP), because tariffs can change with a city council resolution and this page may lag behind.

Zones and discounts

The tariff has three zones. Zone A is travel within the city of Rzeszów. Zone B is travel within the surrounding municipalities. Zone A+B is a trip that crosses the border between the zones. For the 90-minute and 24-hour tickets, a trip within zone B needs the A+B ticket.

There are three price levels in the tables. Normal is the full fare. Statutory (ustawowy) is the reduced fare set by national law, for example for students, and is half the normal price. Local government (samorządowy) is the reduced fare set by the city, for example for school pupils and pensioners, and is 60 percent of the normal price in the tables. Which level you can use depends on documents you show, so ask a POP what proof is needed.

Short-term tickets

The 60-minute or single-ride ticket allows unlimited rides for 60 minutes from validation, or one ride with no time limit. Bought by payment card at the validator, in a promotional price, it costs:

Zone A: 5.00 zloty normal, 2.50 statutory, 3.00 local government. Zone A+B: 6.20, 3.10 and 3.70 zloty. Zone B: 4.40, 2.20 and 2.60 zloty.

The 90-minute ticket costs 8.20 zloty in zone A and 10.20 zloty in A+B at the normal level (4.10 and 5.10 statutory, 4.90 and 6.10 local government). The 24-hour ticket costs 18.00 zloty in zone A and 23.00 zloty in A+B at the normal level (9.00 and 11.50 statutory, 11.00 and 14.00 local government).

Longer tickets

The 5-day named ticket costs 40.00 zloty in zone A, 49.00 in A+B and 35.00 in zone B at the normal level. The 30-day named ticket, valid from the first day to 23:59 on the thirtieth day, costs 125.00 zloty in zone A, 155.00 in A+B and 110.00 in B (statutory 62.50, 77.50 and 55.00, local government 75.00, 93.00 and 66.00).

The calendar monthly ticket, valid from the 1st to the last day of the chosen month, has the same prices as the 30-day ticket. If you buy it after the 1st, it is valid from the purchase date to the end of the month. A bearer monthly ticket, which any person can use, exists only for zone A, only on dedicated cards at the POPs, with limited availability: 225.00 zloty normal, 112.50 statutory and 135.00 local government.

The 90-day and 180-day named tickets are sold only at the normal level. Students and pupils have semester tickets instead. The student ticket runs from 1 October to 15 February or from 16 February to 30 June and costs 250.00 zloty in zone A (310.00 in A+B, 220.00 in B). The pupil ticket runs from 1 September to 31 January or from 1 February to 30 June and costs 315.00 zloty in zone A (390.00 in A+B, 275.00 in B). The guide notes that pupils who live in Rzeszów and meet the conditions have a right to free travel. A holiday ticket for school pupils and full-time students, valid from 5:00 to 23:00, costs 61.00 zloty for one holiday month and 102.00 for two in zone A.

How to buy

The guide stresses that drivers do not sell tickets. The ways to buy are:

At the validator in the vehicle, with a payment card. Choose "Other ticket" (INNY BILET), then the zone, then any discount, and tap the card. The ticket is saved electronically on the card, and nothing is printed. In an inspection you show the same card or phone. A banking app is not proof of purchase. If the screen stays on "Processing", the ticket was not bought. You cannot check the validity time later, so remember the time you validated.

At one of 48 stationary ticket machines in Rzeszów, which take coins, notes and cards, and at a machine in the Rzeszów-Jasionka airport terminal, which takes only coins and contactless cards. Machines at the main railway station and at ul. Bardowskiego are out of service during the construction of the Rzeszów Communication Centre.

At mobile machines in about 90 percent of vehicles, in orange and silver colours except bus 900. These take coins or contactless cards only, and for periodic tickets they sell only the 5-day ticket on the Rzeszów City Card.

In apps: zbiletem.pl, moBILET, SkyCash, GoPay and mPAY, and in the apps of some banks that work with them.

At Traveller Service Points, which also issue the Rzeszów City Card (RKM). The points are at Dworzec Lokalny (ul. Towarnickiego 7), ul. Lisa-Kuli 20, ul. Targowa 1, CH Plaza (al. Rejtana 65) and CH Nowy Swiat (ul. Krakowska 20). The point at ul. Trembeckiego 3 cannot issue the card.

To buy a periodic ticket in a machine you need the Rzeszów City Card.

Tips for newcomers

If you will live in Rzeszów, the card and a 30-day or calendar monthly ticket are the base option. The 30-day ticket for zone A at 125 zloty replaces many single tickets after about 25 rides at the 5 zloty card price (calculated, assuming one ride per ticket).

If you live outside the city limits, check the zone of your home. A trip within zone B costs less than A+B but a 90-minute or 24-hour ticket for zone B journeys has to be an A+B ticket.

Keep the card you used at the validator for the whole ride.
