Siedlce Public Transport 2026: MPK Tickets, City Card, Fines
Short answer: In Siedlce a single MPK bus ticket in zone I costs PLN 3.20 (PLN 1.60 reduced) and a day ticket PLN 8.40; travelling without a ticket costs a PLN 160 additional fee.

Siedlce, a city of eastern Mazovia, runs its buses through the municipal company MPK Siedlce (Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Komunikacyjne w Siedlcach). The tariff has three zones: zone I covers the city itself, zones II and III cover suburban areas. The prices below come from the ticket page on the operator site mpk.siedlce.pl, which states that the price list has been in force since 1 May 2023. A local news site from 18 May 2026 repeats the same tariff, so it appears unchanged, but check the operator page before you buy a pass.
Single and day tickets in the city (zone I)
A normal single ticket costs PLN 3.20 and a 50% reduced ticket costs PLN 1.60. A transfer ticket (przesiadkowy) costs PLN 3.40 normal and PLN 1.70 reduced, and it allows any number of rides within zone I for 50 minutes from validation. A day ticket (dobowy) costs PLN 8.40, or PLN 4.20 reduced, and is valid for 24 hours from first use.
Buying from the driver costs more. A single ticket from the driver is PLN 3.80, a transfer ticket PLN 4.00 and a day ticket PLN 9.00. There is also a 25% reduced category: PLN 2.40 for a single ticket and PLN 6.30 for a day ticket. The operator page lists a named period pass for zone I at PLN 100 normal, PLN 75 at the 25% rate and PLN 50 at the 50% rate.
Suburban zones II and III
Going beyond the city boundary costs more. In zone II a normal single ticket is PLN 4.20, a day ticket PLN 11.40 and a named period pass PLN 138. In zone III the figures are PLN 5.40, PLN 14.60 and PLN 170. Reduced 50% tickets are half of these amounts. A ticket for travel between zones II and III is PLN 2.60 normal and PLN 1.30 reduced. The period passes exist only in a named version, so they cannot be shared with another person.

City card and electronic purse
According to the local news report that summarises the operator page, the Siedlce City Card (Siedlecka Karta Miejska) is issued at the Customer Service Centre at ul. Starzyńskiego 20. The named card is free on application, and a bearer card that anyone can use costs PLN 10. The card holds period passes and an electronic purse (Elektroniczna Portmonetka). With the purse you tap the card on the validator when you board and again when you leave, and the system calculates the fare, including transfers within 40 minutes in zone I. This is the secondary source's description, so the operator may apply details differently.
The same report says tickets can be bought in the Mobilet app by choosing city transport and then Siedlce MPK. A ticket bought in the app must be validated in the app and shown to an inspector on request.
Fines and discounts
The operator lists these additional fees:
- Travelling without a valid ticket: PLN 160.
- Travelling without a document proving a free or reduced fare right: PLN 128.
- Breaking the rules on carrying items and animals: PLN 64.
- Stopping or diverting a bus without reason: PLN 480.
The fee drops by 30% if you pay straight after the check or within 7 days of the notice for the first four items. If you show a valid period ticket or proof of your discount within 7 days of the notice, the charge is cancelled apart from 10% of the fee. A replacement of a damaged or lost city card costs PLN 10.
What it means for expats
A new resident in Siedlce who rides daily is likely to find the named period pass the cheapest option in zone I at PLN 100, against PLN 3.20 per ride. The page does not state the validity period of the pass, so confirm it at the Customer Service Centre. Reduced fares depend on legal entitlements, and the news report mentions rates of 37%, 47% and 85% in addition to the 50% and 25% shown on the price list. If you rely on a discount, carry the document and an ID, because the rules require both. Foreign students and other groups: the sources do not say whether non-citizens get the same entitlements, so ask the operator.
