Skierniewice, a town of around 45,000 people between Warsaw and Łódź, has city buses run by MZK Skierniewice. The official ticket page says the price list has applied since 2 May 2023 and all prices include VAT. The tariff rests on city council resolution XXXVIII/151/2021, amended by resolution LV/29/2023 of 30 March 2023. Checked on 20 October 2026.
Standard prices in the city
Prices apply within the administrative boundary of Skierniewice. There are three price levels: normal, reduced, and a 50% reduced fare that the page says covers students, among others.
- Single ticket bought in advance: PLN 3.20 normal, PLN 2.00 reduced, PLN 1.60 at 50%
- Single ticket bought from the driver: PLN 4.00 normal, PLN 2.50 reduced, PLN 2.00 at 50%
- 30-day named ticket: PLN 96 normal, PLN 60 reduced, PLN 48 at 50%
Buying in advance saves PLN 0.80 per ride on the normal fare, so a ticket from the office or the app is cheaper than paying on the bus. The driver sells tickets only for the exact amount, so keep coins ready.
Family and senior cards
Two local cards halve the price. With the Skierniewicka Rodzina Plus family card, a single ticket costs PLN 1.60 normal (PLN 2.00 from the driver) and a 30-day named ticket PLN 48. Holders of the Skierniewicka Karta Seniora pay the same: PLN 1.60 for a single ticket and PLN 48 for 30 days, with reduced fares of PLN 1.00 and PLN 30, and PLN 0.80 and PLN 24 at the 50% rate.

Tips for newcomers
