Stalowa Wola Public Transport 2026: MZK Tickets PLN 3, Free With Card
What to know: In Stalowa Wola a single-zone MZK bus ticket costs PLN 3.00 and a multi-zone one PLN 5.00. Holders of the Lifestal city card ride free under rules in force since 1 September 2024.
Stalowa Wola, an industrial city in Podkarpackie built around the steelworks, runs buses through MZK Stalowa Wola (Miejski Zakład Komunikacji). Single tickets cost just PLN 3.00, and since 1 September 2024 holders of the city card Lifestal ride free. This guide uses the official MZK ticket and discounts page, checked on 20 October 2026.
Single and day tickets
The network has two zones, A and B. A single-zone ticket is valid only in zone A or only in zone B. A multi-zone ticket applies when you travel between the two zones.
- Single-zone ticket: PLN 3.00 normal, PLN 1.50 reduced
- Multi-zone ticket: PLN 5.00 normal, PLN 2.50 reduced
- Day ticket, bearer: PLN 8
The day ticket pays for itself on the third single-zone ride. The reduced fare is 50% of the normal price and applies to school pupils up to 24, university and doctoral students, pensioners and some other groups, with documents such as a school or student ID.
Free rides with the Lifestal card
MZK lists several groups who ride free, in force since 1 September 2024:
- Holders of an active Stalowowolska Karta Miejska Lifestal, issued by the City Hall or through the app
- Children until they start primary school, on a guardian's declaration
- Children with a Large Family Card issued by the Mayor of Stalowa Wola, under the conditions on the MZK page
If you live in Stalowa Wola, ask City Hall about the Lifestal card, because it can replace paying for tickets.

Period tickets
Period tickets are named or bearer, and the price depends on how many lines and zones they cover. For a single-zone ticket valid every day, the 30-day prices are:
- One line: PLN 93
- Two lines: PLN 96
- Whole network: PLN 120
A weekday-only (Monday to Friday) 30-day ticket for the whole network costs PLN 111 in a single zone and PLN 205 across zones. The multi-zone 30-day ticket valid every day costs PLN 175 for one line, PLN 180 for two lines and PLN 225 for the network. Bearer 30-day tickets cost PLN 111 for one line and PLN 138 for the network in a single zone. There are also 15-day and 60-day versions, for example PLN 57 for 15 days on one line in a single zone.
Children, school pupils up to 21 and students up to 24 can buy a summer holiday ticket for PLN 50, valid on all city and suburban lines from 1 July to 31 August.
Who gets a 50% discount
The page lists pupils up to 24, students, doctoral students, pensioners, people with moderate hearing disability, war veterans and repressed persons, and injured veterans. Carry a valid ID or entitlement document.
