Public Swimming Pools in Warsaw: Prices and Family Guide
The essentials: A 60-minute swim at a Warsaw city pool costs 21-26 zł normal and 17-19 zł reduced. Children under 4 swim free, family tickets start at 17 zł per person at UCSiR pools (57 zł per family at Polna), and resident cards cut prices further. Tickets are timed; overtime costs about 0.40 zł per minute.

How Warsaw's city pools work
Warsaw has a dense network of municipal swimming pools run by district sports centres, and they are one of the best-value family activities in the city, especially through autumn and winter. Most sell a timed 60-minute recreational swim rather than all-day access. At some centres, like Polna, the changing time is already inside your 60 minutes; others add a small technical allowance on top, and Wodny Park Warszawianka adds an extra 10 minutes to every ticket for changing and drying off.
Overtime is metered. If you stay past your slot you pay per minute, typically 0.40 zł, deducted when you return your wristband at the exit gate. Entry works on an electronic wristband or transponder that opens the turnstile and your locker, so keep it on your wrist; a lost band at Ośrodek Inflancka costs 50 zł to replace. Children under 13 use the Inflancka pool only under the supervision of an adult guardian, which is a common rule across city facilities.

Ośrodek Inflancka: central, busy, 24 zł a swim
The Inflancka sports centre, run by the city operator Aktywna Warszawa, is the pool many central-Warsaw expats end up using first. Under the price list valid from 1 May 2026, a 60-minute recreational swim costs 24 zł normal and 19 zł reduced. The reduced rate covers children from 4 years old, school pupils and students up to 26, pensioners, and people with disabilities, in each case with a valid document. Children under 4 enter free, and a parent helping a child up to 8 in the changing room gets 30 minutes free for that purpose.
Regular swimmers should look at the passes: a 12-entry card costs 240 zł normal or 190 zł reduced, and it stays valid for 90 days from purchase. Holders of the Karta Warszawiaka pay 19 zł for a single swim, and holders of the Karta Młodego Warszawiaka (the youth version) pay 15 zł in the reduced categories. The complex also runs water gymnastics classes at 30 zł per session, an "Aktywny Senior" water class at 12 zł for people 55 and over, and a sauna complex at 35 zł normal and 28 zł reduced per hour.

Pływalnia Polna: the family-ticket champion
The OSiR Śródmieście pool at Polna 7A, tucked behind Pola Mokotowskie's southern edge near the city centre, is the friendliest option for a family outing on paper. A standard 60-minute ticket (including changing time) costs 26 zł normal and 19 zł reduced, but the family ticket changes the maths: 57 zł covers a group of at least three people with at least one adult and at least one child under 18, with no time limit, and every additional family member pays just 5 zł. For a family of four that is 62 zł for an unhurried afternoon, the best flat family deal among the pools checked.
Polna also sells an unlimited-day ticket at 78 zł normal and 57 zł reduced, weekend discounts for Karta Dużej Rodziny holders (19.50 zł normal, 14.25 zł reduced), and 20 percent off standard tickets for Karta Warszawiaka holders (20.80 zł normal, 15.20 zł reduced). Veterans with a valid card swim free. For learning, an individual 45-minute lesson with an instructor costs 100 zł (160 zł for two people), a group learn-and-improve pass costs 175/350 zł, and aqua aerobics or aqua zumba classes cost 43 zł per session.

UCSiR Ursynów: two pools, the cheapest tickets, lessons from age 3
Ursynów residents have two municipal pools under one operator: Aqua Relaks and the Hirszfelda pool. At Aqua Relaks, a 60-minute weekday swim costs 22 zł before 17:00 and 26 zł in the evening; the reduced rate is 17/19 zł. Weekend tickets are 26 zł normal and 19 zł reduced, valid 8:00-20:00. Hirszfelda is a touch cheaper: 21 zł before 17:00 and 25 zł after, with the same reduced rates. Both pools offer an untimed Open ticket at 44 zł normal and 29 zł reduced (57/38 zł with sauna), and swimmers over 60 pay just 13.50 zł.
UCSiR is generous to families: children under 4 swim free, the weekend family ticket costs 17 zł per person for groups of at least two including at least one parent or guardian and one child under 18, Karta Dużej Rodziny holders pay 17/14 zł any day, and holders of the youth Karta Młodego Warszawiaka pay 12 zł at weekends. The centre is also the strongest learn-to-swim option in this guide: group lessons for children aged 3-7 cost 40 zł per lesson on a monthly pass (with a parent in the water), 7-18 year-olds pay 38 zł, adult groups pay 40 zł, and individual lessons run 75-78 zł.

Wodny Park Warszawianka: Mokotów's family water park
Wodny Park Warszawianka at Merliniego 4 in Mokotów is the most leisure-oriented of the city pools, popular with families for weekend swims. Its published ticket rules are family-friendly: children under 4 enter free, the family ticket covers children up to 16, and reduced tickets serve pupils, students to 26, pensioners and people with disabilities together with their guardians. Every ticket includes an extra 10 minutes of technical time for changing and drying, and the centre states clearly that swim caps are not required, which answers the most common first-visit question.
Practical details that matter with kids: the surface car park is free for the first 180 minutes (5 zł per hour after that, same rate in the underground garage), a valuables locker costs 4 zł and a shoe locker 2 zł. Organised groups of ten or more get one free guardian entry per ten visitors and can book weekday slots between 6:00 and 22:00. The centre publishes its current price list as a graphic on its website, so check wodnypark.com.pl/cennik before you go for the exact ticket prices in force.

Resident cards and how to pay less
Two discount schemes appear across the city price lists. The Karta Warszawiaka (Warsaw Resident Card), issued by the city, knocks several złotych off every swim: at Inflancka the normal ticket drops from 24 zł to 19 zł, and at Polna from 26 zł to 20.80 zł. School-age holders of the Karta Młodego Warszawiaka pay even less, 12-15 zł depending on the pool. The nationwide Karta Dużej Rodziny (Large Family Card), for families with three or more children, is honoured at Polna on weekends and at both UCSiR pools all week at 17 zł normal and 14 zł reduced.
If you plan to swim weekly, compare the passes before buying single tickets: Inflancka's 12-entry card brings a normal swim down to 20 zł (about 15.80 zł with the resident card), while UCSiR's rechargeable discount cards give a 30 zł bonus once you have loaded 500 zł. And whatever pool you choose, bring flip-flops and a towel, arrive a few minutes early for your timed slot, and watch the clock in the water: the per-minute overtime fee is small, but it adds up faster than you think on a relaxed Saturday.
