A tram in Wrocław

Wrocław's trams and buses are run by MPK Wrocław, and the city publishes a single tariff that has applied since 1 September 2021. The city's passenger guide on wroclaw.pl was updated on 27 March 2026 and lists the prices below. There is one tariff for the whole city, with no zones, and the reduced fare is always half of the normal one. Prices can change, so check the city or MPK page before you buy a long-term pass.

Single and time tickets

A single ticket (bilet jednorazowy) is valid for one ride on a tram or a bus, on all line types, until you leave the vehicle where you validated it. Time tickets let you change vehicles and ride as often as you like during the time shown, counted from the moment you validate:

  • Single ride: 4.60 zł normal, 2.30 zł reduced
  • 15 minutes: 3.20 zł normal, 1.60 zł reduced
  • 30 minutes: 4.00 zł normal, 2.00 zł reduced
  • 60 minutes: 5.20 zł normal, 2.60 zł reduced
  • 90 minutes: 7.00 zł normal, 3.50 zł reduced

If you need to pay a single fare with several tickets, the city says this is allowed as long as their total value is not lower than the fare. You may not pass a validated ticket to another person.

Tickets for a day or more

  • 24 hours: 15 zł normal, 7.50 zł reduced
  • 48 hours: 26 zł normal, 13 zł reduced
  • 72 hours: 32 zł normal, 16 zł reduced
  • 168 hours (7 days): 54 zł normal, 27 zł reduced

A group ticket for up to 15 people costs 44 zł normal or 22 zł reduced. It covers unlimited rides on all line types for 30 minutes from validation, or one ride in the vehicle where it was validated.

Named passes on the URBANCARD

Longer passes are named tickets coded on a personalised Wrocław city card, URBANCARD, which carries your photo and name. You can choose a pass for all lines or for two chosen lines of your own. Prices on the city page:

  • 7 days, all lines: 38 zł normal, 19 zł reduced
  • 30 days, two lines: 74 zł normal, 37 zł reduced
  • 30 days, all lines: 110 zł normal, 55 zł reduced
  • 60 days, all lines: 208 zł normal, 104 zł reduced
  • 90 days, all lines: 302 zł normal, 151 zł reduced
  • 180 days, all lines: 560 zł normal, 280 zł reduced
  • 365 days, all lines: 1,050 zł normal, 525 zł reduced

There are also four- and five-month semester passes, aimed at students, from 260 zł (four months, two lines) to 490 zł (five months, all lines) at the normal rate.

Bearer passes

If you do not want a personalised pass, an unnamed "bearer" pass is coded on a card marked NA OKAZICIELA. These are 30 days for 170 zł, 60 days for 310 zł and 90 days for 430 zł, all at the normal rate and with half-price versions. They cost more than the named pass, so use one only if several people need to share a pass. There is also an agglomeration pass for the wider Wrocław area at 96 zł for 30 days.

Cheaper passes with Nasz Wrocław

The city has a programme called Nasz Wrocław for residents who pay their income tax in Wrocław. Pass prices for programme members are lower:

  • 7 days: 30 zł normal, 15 zł reduced
  • 30 days, two lines: 60 zł normal, 30 zł reduced
  • 30 days, all lines: 90 zł normal, 45 zł reduced
  • 60 days, all lines: 170 zł normal, 85 zł reduced
  • 90 days, all lines: 240 zł normal, 120 zł reduced
  • 180 days, all lines: 420 zł normal, 210 zł reduced
  • 365 days, all lines: 800 zł normal, 400 zł reduced

There is also the Nasz Wrocław Kolej monthly pass. If you already hold a monthly train ticket, the city page says riding Wrocław's trams and buses costs 1 zł a month at the normal rate, or 0.50 zł at the reduced rate. If you pay tax in Wrocław, check the conditions on the city page before you buy.

Where to buy

Tickets are sold in machines at many tram and bus stops, which take cards and cash, and in selected kiosks. Time tickets can be coded on an URBANCARD or a student ID. The MPK customer office is at ul. Bolesława Prusa 75-79, and the information line, +48 71 308 50 30, works Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 21:00.

Validation rules to know

Validate a paper ticket in the machine inside the vehicle as soon as you board. According to the city, a single ticket is valid from the moment of validation until the person who validated it leaves the vehicle. If the vehicle breaks down and the journey is interrupted, the single ticket entitles you to continue in the vehicle the operator points out, as long as the ticket was validated in that operator's vehicle. A ticket in electronic form is valid from the moment you buy it. Never give a validated ticket to someone else.
