Łazienki Free November 2026: English Tours and Free Warsaw Visits

The essentials: Ordinary visits to participating Łazienki buildings need no entry ticket or reservation during the 3-30 November 2026 campaign, on opening days. English guided tours for ages 14+ need separate free tickets released two weeks ahead.

Palace on the Isle reflected in the water at Warsaw’s Łazienki Królewskie

Łazienki Królewskie has confirmed its Free November 2026 programme, and its ordinary visiting rules are simpler than those at Warsaw's Royal Castle or Wawel. From 3 to 30 November, visitors can go straight to the participating museum buildings without collecting an entry ticket or making a reservation. Special activities, including English-language guided tours, are a different matter: those do require free tickets.

For English-speaking Warsaw residents, the most useful part of the programme is the combination of free interiors and five advertised English tours. Before planning a visit, check the weekly opening hours, the ground-floor limits in the two palaces and several temporary closures later in the month. Free admission does not mean every room is open every day.

Ordinary visits: no ticket or reservation

The museum's official 2026 announcement says visitors should go directly to the individual buildings. No entry tickets or reservations are required for the ordinary visit described in the campaign. This applies to both individual visitors and organised groups under the published programme.

That is not the same as saying every activity is unticketed. The announcement separately lists guided tours, workshops, walks and meetings with their own admission instructions. If you want a guide or a particular workshop, read that event's listing rather than relying on the ordinary-building rule.

It also helps to distinguish a free museum visit from a free garden walk. The gardens already have free admission under the museum's general visiting rules. November's extra value is access to participating interiors and exhibitions, rather than a new charge being removed from the park itself.

The campaign starts on Tuesday, 3 November 2026. Do not arrive on 1 or 2 November expecting the free interiors programme: the museum's opening-hours page lists both of those dates among the days when historic buildings are closed. The gardens and buildings have separate arrangements, so check the relevant part of the site before leaving home.

Which buildings are included?

The Palace on the Isle, or Pałac na Wyspie, is included on the ground floor, with the Royal Picture Gallery. The Old Orangery, or Stara Oranżeria, includes the Royal Theatre and Royal Sculpture Gallery. Myślewicki Palace is also included on the ground floor, with its historic painted decoration by Jan Bogumił Plersch.

The ground-floor wording matters. An ordinary free visit is not a promise that all floors of either palace are open. Some separately listed guided activities may use a different route; use that activity's confirmation rather than extending it to every visitor.

At Kubicki Stables, the programme includes the carriage collection named after Zbigniew Prus-Niewiadomski and the Royal Weaving Manufactory. The museum describes the carriage exhibition as covering nineteenth- and twentieth-century driving and riding, including horse-drawn vehicles, harnesses and equestrian accessories. The weaving exhibition uses historic Jacquard looms, textiles and pattern cards to explain weaving history.

Those are different subjects, so a family can choose a building around an actual interest rather than trying to visit everything. A child interested in vehicles may prefer the stables, while a visitor who wants royal interiors may begin at one of the palaces. These are planning suggestions, not age recommendations issued by the museum.

Opening hours and last entry

The campaign announcement gives the following opening pattern for museum buildings and temporary exhibitions:

  • Tuesday and Wednesday: 9:00-16:00, with last entry at 15:30.
  • Thursday to Saturday: 10:00-18:00, with last entry at 17:30.
  • Sunday: 10:00-16:00, with last entry at 15:30.

Monday is not an ordinary museum-interior day in that schedule. Although the campaign's date range ends on Monday, 30 November, that date range should not be read as cancelling the normal weekly closure. Use a published event's own rules if considering something separately scheduled on a Monday.

The half-hour last-entry rule is a deadline to enter, not a recommendation to allow only half an hour for the visit. If there is a particular collection you want to spend time with, arrive earlier and leave room for walking between buildings.

For an after-work visit, the Thursday-to-Saturday opening is the relevant longer window. Check any temporary closure before arranging a meeting with friends: a general 18:00 closing time will not help if your chosen building is unavailable that day.

English guided tours: five dates for ages 14+

The museum explicitly advertises guided tours in English for adults and teenagers aged 14 and over. Palace on the Isle tours are listed on Saturday, 7 November; Saturday, 14 November; and Saturday, 21 November 2026. The meeting point is the palace terrace.

English tours of the Old Orangery are listed on Saturday, 28 November and Sunday, 29 November 2026. The published time for these English tours is 13:00-14:00. Check the ticket listing for the exact meeting instructions for your selected building.

Admission is free, but tickets are required. The programme says they are available at museum ticket offices and online two weeks before the event. That is a release rule, not a statement that every listed session currently has places. This guide has not checked live availability or reserved anything.

For non-Polish-speaking residents, these are the sessions the museum actually labels as English. Other guided walks and workshops should not be assumed to be in English just because an English summary mentions them. Confirm the language on the individual event page before booking for a friend, a teenager or a visiting relative.

The age threshold is also specific: the advertised English tours are 14+. Families with younger children can still consider ordinary free visits or look at the family programme, but should not assume that the English-tour listing covers younger ages.

Temporary exhibitions: one ends mid-month

Temporary exhibitions are also included in the free programme. In the Solomon Room of the Palace on the Isle, the museum presents Nicolas Grospierre's heliograms. The announcement explains that the works occupy spaces left by Marcello Bacciarelli paintings destroyed during the Second World War.

The programme also describes 32 costumes from Maciej Kawalski's screen adaptation of Bolesław Prus's Lalka, displayed across the Palace on the Isle, Old Orangery and Myślewicki Palace. The costumes connect the visit with the world of Warsaw's late-nineteenth-century aristocracy and middle class.

In Podchorążówka, the exhibition Nabiści. Prorocy nowej sztuki, or The Nabis: Prophets of New Art, runs only until 15 November. The museum describes nearly one hundred paintings, drawings and graphic works, including work by Maurice Denis, Paul Ranson and Paul Sérusier. If this exhibition is your main reason to go, plan for the first half of the campaign rather than the final weekend.

That deadline is different from the overall 30 November campaign end. Keep the exhibition's own date in your calendar and check the current museum page before travelling. A month-long admission campaign does not extend every temporary exhibition until the end of the month.

Closures that can change your route

The campaign page lists the Ballroom in the Palace on the Isle as unavailable on 11 November, 10:00-14:00. This is a room-level restriction, not a statement that the entire museum is closed for Independence Day. The general opening-hours page lists 11 November among the holidays when historic buildings are open.

On 17 November, the Old Orangery is listed as unavailable from 12:30. The campaign also lists the Royal Weaving Manufactory at Kubicki Stables as unavailable from 13:30 on 17 and 24 November. The museum's separate opening-hours page adds the same 13:30 restriction on 3 and 10 November for the weaving exhibition and the Social Curatorial Team presentation. Because the pages give different levels of detail, check both before choosing a Tuesday stables visit.

The Palace on the Isle is closed for the whole day on 25 November. The Old Orangery is closed for the whole day on 26 November. If you want a particular building, moving the visit by a day may matter more than choosing the most convenient opening hour.

These are the notices published when this guide was checked, not a guarantee that no further operational changes will occur. The museum itself warns that temporary closures are possible. A quick recheck is worthwhile, especially when travelling across Warsaw for one room or exhibition.

Workshops are separate from walking in

The wider programme includes talks, walks, craft activities and family events. Some require free tickets released two weeks before the activity; others have different arrangements. A workshop place should not be assumed merely because ordinary admission is free.

The same distinction applies to access needs. The programme includes some tours designed for people with individual needs, but those have their own dates and tickets. Contact the museum about the particular route, stairs, seating or assistance you need rather than treating a ground-floor label as a full access assessment.

For a straightforward visit, choose one building and a possible second stop, then keep the outdoor portion flexible. The gardens' published hours are 6:00-21:00 daily, but that does not extend museum-interior hours or remove a temporary closure. Leave optional food, transport and other spending outside the free-admission claim.

Before you set off

Check the official campaign page for your date, choose the building you actually want and note its last-entry time. If attending an English tour, obtain the separate ticket and save the meeting details. If visiting independently, the published rule is to go straight to the building without an entry reservation.

For other free royal-residence visits, the site's guides to Warsaw's Royal Castle and Wilanów and to Wawel explain their different ticket systems. Do not transfer one museum's release timetable to another. Łazienki's unticketed ordinary visits are its own arrangement, not a universal rule for Free November.
