Lublin All Saints 2026: Cemetery Lines, Parking, Detours
The essentials: Lublin's All Saints 2026 plan runs 30 October - 2 November: cemetery lines 200, 201 and 202 serve Majdanek, Konopnica and Abramowice, 18 regular lines get special timetables on 1 November, and one-way streets and parking rules apply at four cemeteries. Normal fares apply all weekend - Lublin is not a free-ride city.

Lublin's All Saints 2026 plan is out - announced on 23 October, with the first change arriving earlier than anywhere else in this series: the car park at the main Lipowa cemetery closes from the morning of Tuesday 27 October, turned over to the flower and candle trade. The full programme runs from Friday 30 October to Monday 2 November and brings three special cemetery bus lines - 200, 201 and 202, reinforced schedules on 18 regular lines, one-way streets around four cemeteries, and one important contrast with the free-ride cities: in Lublin, normal fares apply all weekend, including on 1 November.
Here is everything an expat in Lublin needs.
The three cemetery lines: 200, 201 and 202
Lublin does not mark its special buses with a C - it gives them numbers in the 200s:
- Line 200 - Majdanek to Rondo Berbeckiego: the long cross-city route linking the Majdanek cemetery with the city centre (Lipowa, Krakowskie Przedmieście, 3 Maja), the old town edge (Podzamcze, Unicka) and the eastern districts to aleja Andersa. On the return it loops via Krańcowa, aleja Witosa and Dekutowskiego.
- Line 201 - Konopnica (las) to Rondo Berbeckiego: from the southern cemetery at Konopnica through al. Kraśnicka, Jana Pawła II, Zana, Filaretów, Głęboka and Lipowa, then the same central spine to aleja Andersa.
- Line 202 - Majdanek to Abramowice: the short eastern link along Droga Męczenników Majdanka, Wolska, Kunickiego and Abramowicka.
All three run on 1 November, line 200 also runs on 31 October (special Saturday schedule) and 2 November (special All Souls' Day schedule). Normal ZDiTM fares apply on all of them - a single ticket is 4.40 zł, and the city's weekend and group tickets work as usual (details in our Lublin tickets guide).
Day-by-day schedules
- Friday 30 October: school-weekday schedules for buses and trolleybuses; night lines N1, N2 and N3 do not run.
- Saturday 31 October: Saturday schedules, plus line 200 on its special schedule; night lines N1-N3 stay off.
- Sunday 1 November (All Saints' Day): holiday schedules as the base, but 18 lines switch to special, denser All Saints timetables: 21, 23, 32, 35, 37, 47, 73, 78, 153, 154, 155, 156, 157, 158, 161, 200, 201 and 202, with extra courses on most of them. All three cemetery lines run. Two diversions matter: line 32 runs via Koryznowej, skipping the Ponikwoda - Walecznych - al. Andersa stretch, and line 78 is cut back to Żeglarska, not serving Pszczela - Zemborzyce Podleśne. The Majdanek-pomnik NŻ 01 stop is not served.
- Monday 2 November: back to school-weekday schedules, with line 200 on a special All Souls' timetable.
The reinforced list reads like a map of the cemeteries: the 150-series trolleybuses (153-158) and lines 21, 23, 35, 47 and 73 all pass the big grounds at Lipowa or Majdanek. Lublin is one of only three Polish cities with trolleybuses, and they carry a large share of the All Saints traffic.
Driving: one-way streets and parking, cemetery by cemetery
- Majdanek (Droga Męczenników Majdanka): from the morning of 30 October to the morning of 2 November, ul. Cmentarna is one-way towards the cemetery with no stopping on both sides; the exit runs along a hardened dirt road to the Krupskiego roundabout, also one-way. The bay by the Mausoleum closes on 30 October. From the evening of 31 October: lane changes on Droga Męczenników Majdanka, no left turn into Hanki Ordonówny, no left turn at the Krupskiego roundabout (city-bound traffic is routed via Dekutowskiego to al. Witosa), and flashing signals at the Ordonówny junction on 1 November. Parking: the cemetery lots, a new Park & Ride at Grenadierów, the State Museum at Majdanek grounds, the former Polmozbyt site (Droga Męczenników Majdanka 74) and the science park area at Dobrzańskiego.
- Lipowa (the main municipal cemetery): the cemetery car park closes from the morning of 27 October to the morning of 2 November for the holiday trade stalls. The Lublin Plaza bay on the Ofiar Katynia side is reserved for people with disabilities from the evening of 31 October, and Plaza's underground car park is free on 1 November, 7:00-21:00 (entry from Ofiar Katynia or Obrońców Pokoju). On Głęboka street, the no-stopping rule is suspended between Narutowicza and Raabego from the evening of 31 October to the morning of 2 November.
- Pszczela: one-way on 1 November from the railway tracks to Kukułcza, with the exit via Kukułcza and Letniskowa to Krężnicka.
- Bełżycka (Konopnica): one-way on 1 November on Łanowa and Bełżycka from the Konopnica church towards the cemetery; exit via Folwarczna, also one-way.
Police will direct traffic at the busiest points in peak hours.
The cemeteries on most visitors' lists
The Lipowa cemetery complex is Lublin's main necropolis and one of its most historic - Catholic, Orthodox and military quarters under old trees, a short ride from the centre on the reinforced lines. The Majdanek cemetery sits beside the State Museum at Majdanek, the former concentration camp memorial that many expats visit separately (our Lublin weekend guide covers it). The customs are the same as everywhere in Poland: tidy the grave, lay chrysanthemums, light a znicz, and expect the most atmospheric hour just after dusk - sunset on 1 November is around 15:55. With 1 November falling on a Sunday in 2026, shops are closed; buy candles and flowers by Saturday. Our All Saints' Day in Poland guide explains the tradition, and the Lublin Christmas market follows in December.
Unlike Poznań, Toruń, Łódź and Silesia (see our free transport roundup), Lublin keeps normal fares - budget 4.40 zł each way or use a weekend ticket.
Why Lublin's plan starts a week early
Most cities switch on their All Saints rules on the Friday before 1 November. Lublin starts five days earlier, and the reason is commercial as much as logistical: the pavements and parking bays around the Lipowa cemetery become the city's biggest seasonal market, with rows of stalls selling chrysanthemums, wreaths and znicz lanterns in the final week of October. Closing the car park from 27 October clears space for that trade - and signals to residents that the holiday build-up has begun. If you normally park near Lipowa for work, find an alternative for the whole week, not just the weekend. The trade stalls themselves are worth a look even if you arrive by bus - prices for znicze and flowers here usually beat the last-minute markups at cemetery gates elsewhere in the city.
Practical notes for the day
- Rondo Berbeckiego is the hub. Lines 200 and 201 both terminate there - if you are changing between the cemetery lines and the regular network, that is your junction.
- Going to Majdanek by bus on 1 November? The Majdanek-pomnik NŻ 01 stop is closed - use the cemetery lines or alight at the Majdanek terminus instead.
- Driving to Lipowa? The cemetery lot is closed all week - the free Plaza underground garage on 1 November is the easiest option, a few minutes' walk away.
- Night owls, note: no N1, N2 or N3 on the nights of 30 and 31 October - plan the ride home before midnight.
